For our 14th SOBER LIVING ENRICHMENT session, we were the fortunate recipients of both spiritual and material gifts.

Saturday, we had guest speaker share his experience, strength and hope. I have known this man since high school, but I had no idea about some of the challenges he had faced in his life – before and during addiction. Our group members were moved tremendously. His was a story of courage, hope and tenacity.

A sampling of the responses we received to his talk:

Thank you, Robert! We are grateful for Saturday’s spiritual gifts of inspiration, hope, motivation and service.

We are additionally blessed  to receive material (and much needed!) donations of dress and casual clothing, footwear and accessories, as well as household goods including linens, kitchen items, games, books, toiletries and hygiene products (such as hair dryers, curling and flat irons, etc.)

Many people in early recovery lack the basic necessities. We provide clothing, etc. to support them being able to interview for jobs with esteem; and feel confident in their daily activities.
