LAS VEGAS, NV – October 28, 2016 – Living Free Health & Fitness, a Las Vegas-based non-profit addiction recovery organization, announced today that it has launched a funding effort to expand its recovery programs throughout Las Vegas-area communities to cover a broader segment of the population.

“The tough road to recovery is crowded,” commented Shelley Poerio, president of Living Free. “But access to quality help is typically limited to the few who can afford expensive programs. We offer free or low-cost programs for addicts needing the kind of longer-term, ongoing care we uniquely provide.”

The organization has already provided the Las Vegas community hundreds of hours of donated time to help addicts stay in recovery, including at The Salvation Army Las Vegas Adult Rehabilitation Center and at The Davis Houses, sober living for women.

It’s well known that the risk of relapse is diminished the longer people engage in a program of recovery. The funding raised will support Living Free’s lifestyle and educational programs that offer insight, practical application, and skills sets promoting healthy, life-long habits. “Adopting a no-nonsense approach focused on exercise, nutrition, education and life skills development removes many of the roadblocks faced by people in early recovery, including the high cost” added Poerio.
